EoS Fitness is beefing up its presence in North Texas.

The Dallas-based company signed three leases: 40,000 square feet in Southern Dallas, 42,500 square feet in Saginaw and 40,000 square feet in southwest Forth Worth.

In the Red Bird area of Southern Dallas, the gym will replace a former Conn’s HomePlus at Wheatland Towne Crossing, at 3459 Bainbridge Drive. Tenants at the shopping center include Target, Ross Dress for Less and PetSmart.

The Saginaw store will be a new-build in the 115-acre Beltmill mixed-use development at the northeast corner of East Bailey Boswell Road and Millstone Road. Beltmill is home to multifamily, single-family homes, senior living, office and retail.

The Fort Worth location is also a new-build in a shopping strip at the southwest quadrant of Altamesa Boulevard and Chisholm Trail Parkway. It will be adjacent to BJ’s Wholesale Club.

Financial trouble for sprawling retailers has created opportunities for brands like EoS, which can backfill these large spaces. It’s part of a shift toward experiential retail, such as fitness concepts like gyms and pickleball facilities.

EoS is rapidly spreading throughout the Sunbelt and West with locations in Texas, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, California and Utah. It has plans to expand into Georgia and intends to operate 250 gyms around the country by 2030.

There are 16 locations across Texas, including a “Lux” gym in Houston. The company has plans for an additional 26 gyms in the Lone Star State, according to its website.

The company has been open for 10 years and moved its headquarters from Phoenix to Dallas in 2022. A basic membership at EoS costs $9.99, making the gym a rival to low-cost fitness brand Planet Fitness.
